“The North Shore Challenge brings together CAPA camera clubs throughout British Columbia and the Yukon, and is regarded as one of the biggest CAPA contests of the year. Each club enters ten images of any subject matters, and a group of three professional judges score each image. My club (Lions Gate) has a history of winning this competition, although this year we scored 2nd place. On a brighter side, i was fortunate to have my image earn Best in Show. I took this image of Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park this past new year’s day. Many think a lot of work has been put into this image, but it is simply a single image with minor adjustments.”
