CCS G3 Gray Harness For 2 Cameras

Dual Camera Harness

CCS G3 Camera Harness System for two cameras - Charcoal Gray.  This dual camera harness is designed for the active photographer. The harness and side holster supports and secures two cameras and lenses. Work for longer periods of time without needing to go back to a camera bag for more gear. The ergonomic design of this double camera vest distributes the weight of the cameras helping to lessen the fatigue of a long shooting day.

The Two Camera Harness System is the ultimate in weight distribution, comfort and stability. We do not have a weight max that camera gear can reach. For max stability and comfort recommend your largest setup on the chest receiver and the secondary camera on side holster.

This system keeps your hands free, your equipment safe, and your body mobile. Ready to shoot. Right now!

As our gear continues to evolve, the details in product images may vary slightly from products received. Be assure, we are only making changes to ever improve our gear.

    Happy Overall

This is a lightweight and comfortable harness. I am very pleased with the quality of the materials and the easy setup and use. It is great for distributing the weight of my gear in a healthy way. I ordered the two-camera harness with one neck strap and one hand strap. I use the neck strap for the camera mounted at my chest and that works well. I used the hand strap for the camera mounted at my hip and this was a huge mistake. My first time using the harness, the camera at my hip slipped out of the harness when I bent down to adjust my brides dress, and my camera hit the ground. This was the first time I have ever "dropped" my camera in 13 years. The system is not secure enough to be trusted with just a hand strap as your camera CAN slip out of the harness and fall. I would trust it with a neck strap.

    It works well, But

I purchased this two weeks ago and I have only used the Cotton carrier G3 a few times. It took just a little getting use to but it works well for carrying two cameras. It seems to be very well made. I had a D850 with a 200-500 on the chest carrier attached by the Foot of the lens. It made the rig stick to far out in front of me and created quite a blind spot while navigating through the woods and over the rocks. I could not look down and see where I was placing my feet. After that I attached it to the tripod mount on the camera and it worked much better for visibility and balance of the camera, But I do not like all that weight hanging of the lens mount, not sure I will continue with it.
The second body hangs pretty well with a much smaller lens on it, But I was disappointed to find I could not move it over to the left side to keep my right hand and arm completely free to do what ever I needed to do. I would also like it to hang a bit lower, which also would get it out of the way a bit more.
The system seems to be well built, But I will definitely need to get new camera straps with the same quick connect buckles as the CC. I used the tether for the secondary camera but was not going to go through the trouble of taking the camera strap off the body and then have to put it back on. I tied it up to get it out of the way as much as I could. I put the camera strap of the chest mounted camera around my neck for added security and that seemed to work ok. I typically drive to multiple locations throughout the day and some are just quick stops with a single camera and I don't need the whole system but I do need the security of a neck strap just in case. I was not planning on buying three new camera straps with the same plastic buckles on top of the expense of this carrier, But I don't really see any other way of being able to quickly switch from the CC with the tethers to a normal camera strap. As it is I will end up with one tether being attached and the other flapping in the wind.

    Nice harness

This is the first harness I have ever purchased. It keeps the weight off my neck and/or shoulders. It centers the weight of the camera fairly well too. I went on a short hike, I hade a 70-200 lens and body on the front and a smaller lens to the side. Both held securely with the hardware included. It would definitely get warm wearing this for too long in the sun, but it breathes well in cooler weather.

    Fit

I only gave it a 4 because I have not yet used it in the field. Setting it up for the first time wasn't too hard but being a woman there are places of a little discomfort. I think a little more adjusting is needed. The only other thing is when putting the second camera on the waist will take some practice. My head doesn't turn far enough to see the receiver very well. I'm sure a little more used will solve that problem. I'm heading to Africa in 2 weeks so will update when back.

I am impressed by the harnesses ability to handle the workload. I configured my gear as such: Nikon Z8 paired with the Nikkor 400mm f4.5 and attached it to the hip lug. I attached my z6iii, paired with the Nikkor 800 mm f6.3, to the chest lug. I hiked over three miles with this configuration and aside from working up a sweat, the harness was comfortable and capable.

Does the system work for large telephotos like a 600mm?

The carrier will not fail under the weight of your camera/lens setup. A 600mm will place your weight forward and for some, it becomes a bit awkward. The system will not fail, but it becomes a subjective matter of comfort.

Can I add another camera or binocular holster after?

Yes, we offer a modular side holster with camera or binocular hardware. Or the individual hardware for camera or binoculars can be purchased independently.

Can I put my camera into the binocular carrier's receiver? Or vice versa?

All hardware uses the same twist and lock system, so you can place your camera or binoculars interchangeably in any receiver.
