It's great for shooting sports. I used a Sony A1 with a 400mm lens along with a Sony A7R3 with a 24-70 while shooting a soccer game. So easy to quickly switch cameras as the action moved to and away from me.

Great idea but could be easily improved by 1000%

I like the new Sling version that holds one camera. I asked the help desk whether the extra belt holder could be used for a second camera, and they said yes. Pricing was so that it was more economical to purchase the dual harness, which now allows me to move the belt holder to the Sling harness. That said, when I adjusted the Dual Harness, it was awkward to mount a camera onto the front mount. I guess practice and eventually muscle memory might make it easier. A major improvement for the receiving dovetail for the mounting bolt would be to have the receiving dovetail shaped more in a “V” so as it more easily receive the bolt with less miss mounts. A tapered "V" receiving mount would make these devices a lot more user friendly. Additionally, I am mounting a camera with a long lens on the front. The weight of the camera and long lens pulls down on the top front of the harness that cannot be adjusted out. Finally, when mounting and dismounting the long lens, it often bangs on harness clips on the sides of the harness. While this is an annoyance, it would seem this would have been worked out by now. The Sling harness does not have this issue. I will be taking this dual harness and the Sling harness to a bird shoot later this month and will see which systems works better. I do like the Sling harness for my long lens and camera combination.

Nice system for carrying heavy lens.

good quality but very expensive

The basic chest harness is of good quality and a little pricy but the additional belt carrier is $49.00 and that is ridiculous for a small additional holster. I hate to give them a hard time on pricing but it is way too much.

Carry Comfortably

Secure your larger lens via the lens foot on your lens to assure maximum comfort. The harness also fits comfortably under a backpack.

Hardware

Cotton Carrier original, flat, virtually indestructible, friction-free, hard-anodized aluminum hub. Secured with a slotted hole to allow for slight adjustment to avoid blocking the battery door. A threaded hole on the hub allows you to still use your tripod with our system.

Safety Tether

Backup high impact rated Safety Tether. Provides an extra level of security when using the harness. Added redundancy allowing you to be certain your camera is always safe.

Weather Cover

The G3 Weather Cover is designed for the elements. This self containing bag is weather proof protecting against dust and water. There is 10 inches of clearance inside. Complete with a clip to attach to.

How do I use the tripod or quick release?

The hardware has a tripod holed milled into it for tripod use. If you use quick release we recommend the Universal Tripod Adapter Plate or Universal Arca Swiss L-Bracket.

Does the system work for large telephotos like a 600mm?

The carrier will not fail under the weight of your camera/lens setup. A 600mm will place your weight forward and for some, it becomes a bit awkward. The system will not fail, but it becomes a subjective matter of comfort.

Can I add another camera or binocular holster after?

Yes, we offer a modular side holster with camera or binocular hardware. Or the individual hardware for camera or binoculars can be purchased independently.

Can I put my camera into the binocular carrier's receiver? Or vice versa?

All hardware uses the same twist and lock system, so you can place your camera or binoculars interchangeably in any receiver.
